Behind the Design with Nash Design Group: A light-filled family space with Aurora
We were so excited to see the talented team at Nash Design Group incorporate our Aurora fabric into a recent project. The space is California style at its finest - bright, airy, and inviting - and we couldn’t imagine a better way to showcase this textile pattern. Kendra Nash and Lorri Hicks Cazenave share their team’s vision and process for the project. Enjoy!

Kate Miller: To begin, can you tell us a bit about the space, the client's goals, and your vision for the space?
Kendra Nash/Lorri Cazenave: Our client needed a family friendly breakfast room to serve as a landing spot for their family throughout the day’s meals. We needed the space to soak in the sunshine from the backyard, and really wanted to layer in some organic details and durable pieces that could handle their young son and twin girls.
KM: What drew you/your client to our Aurora fabric for the window treatments (and how did it complement the other materials/furnishings you selected)?
KN/LC: We loved the lightweight organic elements of Aurora, the soft colors, and the way that it draws in nature. We needed something with a little punch and pattern since there weren’t other upholstered pieces to introduce, and Aurora had just the gorgeous weaving that we were looking for.
KM: Was sustainability and using eco-friendly materials a factor in this project?
KN/LC: Definitely. We try to incorporate eco-friendly materials any chance we can.
KM: What effect does the fabric have in the finished space?
KN/LC: It’s really the showstopper of the entire space. We couldn’t have dreamt up a more perfect pairing!
